Add 125 ml CPDA-1 to 875 ml blood to get 1000 ml for blood transfusion. This anticoagulant will give whole blood a shelf life of 35 days.
100 ml of CPDA-1 contains:
Citric Acid (anhydrous) 0,299 g
Sodium Citrate (dihydrate).2,630 g
Sodium Phosphate monohydrate 0,222 g
Dextrose monohydrate 3,190 g
Adenine 0,0275 g
Sterile water q.s. 100 ml
