KRUUSE Sacryl Plus Suture is a synthetic, absorbable, sterile, surgical suture composed of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide (Polyglactin 910) and is coated with glycolide, lactide (Polyglactin 370), and calcium stearate. KRUUSE Sacryl Plus Suture is coated with copolymer of glycolide and lactide (Polyglactin 370) and calcium stearate.
The suture contains chlorhexidine diacetate, a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. The copolymers in this product have been found to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and elicit only a mild tissue reaction during absorption.
The suture is available in violet.
Complete mass absorption in 56-70 days (approximately 75% of original tensile strength 14 days after implantation, 40% of original tensile strength 21 days after implantation, 20% of original tensile strength 28 days after implantation).
