KRUUSE Monofast Plus Suture is a synthetic, absorbable, monofilament, sterile, surgical suture composed of polyglycolide-co-caprolactone.
The suture contains chlorhexidine diacetate, a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, at no more than 60μg/m. The suture is available dyed violet.
Complete mass absorption in 90-120 days (approximately 65% of original tensile strength 7 days after implantation, 40% of original tensile strength 14 days after implantation).
Indications
KRUUSE Monofast is commonly used in soft tissues and ligation where absorbable sutures are indicated, including:
■ Blood vessel ligation
■ Ductus ligation
■ Intradermal closure
■ Oral mucosa/gingival approximation
■ Subcutaneus approximation
■ Urological surgery
Contraindications
This suture, being absorbable, should not be used where extended approximation of tissues under stress is required.
KRUUSE Monofast Plus Suture should not be used in patients with known allergic reactions to chlorhexidine diacetate.
Range
■ USP 5-0 to 2-0
