KRUUSE PD-X Plus contains chlorhexidine. This suture is a synthetic, absorbable, monofilament, sterile suture. Complete mass absorption in 180-220 days (approximate 75% of original tensile strength remains 14 days after implantation, 65% of original tensile strength remains 28 days after implantation, and 50% of original tensile strength remains 42 days after implantation).
KRUUSE PD-X Plus dispenser box contains 12 peel packs. Shelf life is 5 years (from production date). This monofilament suture is composed of polydioxanone and is suitable for surgical procedures where long term effect of the suture is needed (>6 weeks). E.g. hernias, facia, GI or orthopedic surgeries.
